Lindsay Givens has been teaching at Eldorado Elementary for 10 years and in Douglas County for a total of 16 years. She has previously taught in Harrison School District 2 in Colorado Springs for three years. She believes in being a life long learner with her degree in Communications from Colorado University and a Masters Degree in Arts of Education and Learning from Regis University. At Eldorado she is the 1st Grade representative to the PTO and SAC.

Emily Romo - 1st Grade Teacher.   Emily

This is Mrs. Romo's 4th year at Eldorado Elementary. She taught kindergarten for the past 3 years and is very excited to take on the new adventure of first grade this year! She graduated in 2017 from Colorado State University with a degree in International Studies. Following her graduation, she was able to teach English in Madrid, Spain. Loving her time in the classroom, she returned home and received her teaching certification and Master's degree in reading leadership from Western Colorado State University. She is excited to continue her journey in the classroom creating strong and loving relationships.

 

Johnna Clavadetscher - 1st Grade Teacher.             Johnna

Johnna Clavadetscher will be entering her second year as a First Grade teacher at Eldorado Elementary.  Prior to teaching in First Grade, Johnna worked in special education as a School Psychologist for 10 years.  She graduated from Adams State College with a degree in Elementary Education in 2006 and from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in School Psychology in 2011.  In her spare time, Johnna enjoys spending time with family, going outdoors and practicing yoga. She is so excited to head into the 23-24 school year to foster new relationships and fun experiences with her students!

NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Douglas County School District's intent to destroy the special education records of students who exited special education services as of June 30, 2016. These records will be destroyed in accordance with state law unless the parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student notifies the school district otherwise. After five years, the records are no longer useful to the district, but may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student in applying for social security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a copy of the records by requesting the records by email to [email protected].
