Mrs. Crawford

Mrs. Crawford, Principal

I’m Julie Crawford, and I am thrilled to celebrate my 20th year in education with all of you. My journey began as a Special Needs Teacher, focusing on students with Affective Needs. This rewarding experience ignited my passion for supporting every child's unique learning journey.

After several years in the classroom, I transitioned to an administrative role, serving as the Assistant Principal at Trailblazer Elementary. Six years ago, I joined the wonderful community at Eldorado Elementary as your Principal, and it has been an incredible experience.

I believe wholeheartedly that "Students Do Well If They Can." This philosophy guides my approach to creating an environment where every child feels loved, supported, and empowered to succeed. My mission is to ensure that Eldorado is a place where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I are proud parents of a son and daughter, both in high school. They keep us busy and remind me daily of the joys and challenges of parenthood.

I am committed to fostering a positive and nurturing school community and look forward to another fantastic year at Eldorado.

Whitney

Mrs. Hamlin, Assistant Principal

Hello, I'm Whitney Hamlin, and I'm thrilled to be starting my second year as the Assistant Principal at Eldorado Elementary. My journey in education began 17 years ago, driven by my love for kids and a deep belief that building strong relationships is key to their success.

I've had the pleasure of teaching 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades and working with students in mild/moderate special education and affective needs. My career started in Adams 14, where I taught for 4 years, before moving on to Denver Public Schools for 8 years. I joined the Douglas County School District five years ago, and it's been an incredible experience since. Living and working in the same community is a dream come true. With an elementary teaching license and a master's degree in special education, I am dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment at Eldorado. I aim to get to know every student, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and loved.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Matt and I have two wonderful kids, Mason (9) and Charlie (7), and an adorable Boston Terrier named Otis (11). We're proud members of the Eldorado community, and you can often find us at various sporting events around town
on the weekends, or visiting one of our amazing recreaction centers. We are also huge Broncos fans and love cheering on our team (even when they’re not doing so well).

I am looking forward to another fantastic year at Eldorado, working together to support our amazing students and dedicated teachers.
