RISE

At Eldorado, we believe in empowering students through the Science of Reading. Our effective reading intervention model, known as Reading Intervention for Students to Excel (RISE), is specially designed for students in grades 1-5 who are reading below grade level. RISE is a comprehensive literacy intervention program that covers phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and  writing. RISE has proven to be a powerful and successful intervention.

Our literacy team and classroom teachers utilize assessments to identify students who require intervention and are reading at similar text levels. These students are then placed in small groups of 5-6 and receive intensive instruction using Orton Gillingham materials, vocabulary/morphology, and reading comprehension.

Through the RISE program, we aim to help our students effortlessly apply these acquired skills to real-world reading and writing scenarios. We strive to empower our students to become confident readers and proficient writers, enabling them to excel academically and beyond.
