This is Mrs. Romo’s sixth year at Eldorado Elementary. She taught Kindergarten for three years and then spent the past two years in 1st grade. This year, she’s excited to begin a new adventure as a 2nd grade teacher! Mrs. Romo graduated from Colorado State University in 2017 with a degree in International Studies. After college, she spent time teaching English in Madrid, Spain. Her experience there sparked a love for teaching, and when she returned to Colorado, she earned her teaching certification and a Master’s degree in Reading Leadership from Western Colorado State University. She’s passionate about building strong, loving relationships with her students and is excited to continue supporting their growth in the classroom.

In her free time, she loves playing board and card games with her family, reading with her book club, watching thriller movies, and spending time with her Golden Retriever puppy, Casper. Rachael is passionate about teaching and creating a fun, engaging classroom where students feel valued and supported.
